Google - 2008-10-21

Today I visited the Googleplex in Mountain View. How can I explain how awesome this was for me? I was as excited as a ten-year-old visiting Disneyland.

Did the Googleplex live up to the dream? Of course it did. It had the SpaceShipOne replica, the ball pit, the T-rex, and the volleyball court. It had pinball machines, massage chairs, arcade machines, ping-pong tables, foosball tables, and lego areas. There are laundry rooms, sleeping pods, a gym exercise pools (the water flows so you swim against it, like a liquid treadmill), and huge free cafeterias with any kind of food you could want. The workspaces have multiple enormous monitors, plenty of desk space, and are often lovingly well-decorated.

Unfortunately, I took very few photos inside before I was told I wasn't supposed to do that, so I don't have photos of most of the cool stuff I mentioned.
